Jewelry Crafting 101-Sawing Workshop
Begin your metalsmithing journey with this introductory jewelry class. The purpose is to familiarize you with working with small metals, focusing on learning to cut, saw, and file non-ferrous metal. You'll be introduced to essential tools such as the jeweler's saw, files, and the flex-shaft drill, which are fundamental for working with small metals. While practicing these techniques, you'll have the chance to create a pendant or a simple pair of earrings.
This class is just the beginning—it's up to you to continue honing your skills and start crafting your own pieces!
Please note that due to the varying costs of metals, there may be an additional materials fee depending on the extra materials you use.
Suitable for ages 14 and up. Students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

*** Please note that this location may not accommodate all accessibility needs. Patrons will have to walk up three flights of stairs to access the studio.***

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 3 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.
