Fashion Lab Private Sessions aka "Fashion Playdates"

2-hour, screen-free creative experiences in our downtown studio.
Kids (and families) don’t just “wear fashion” here—they make it. Every playdate is hands-on, artistic freedom project-based, and designed to build confidence through creative wins.

What all playdates include

• All materials + tools (unless noted)
• Project-based instruction so everyone finishes something
• Small group support with a 1:4 instructor ratio
• A safe, encouraging studio vibe (no pressure, lots of pride)

Fashion Playdate: Birthday Edition

Because every celebration deserves sparkle—and something made by hand.

Looking for a birthday party that feels original, meaningful, and actually fun for kids? This is a 2-hour drop-off creative celebration where guests design and create a wearable project—then leave with a masterpiece and a confidence boost that lasts longer than any goodie bag.

Best for: ages 5–10 (drop-off)

What’s included

• All materials + tools
• Guided making with a 1:4 instructor ratio
• A completed project for each guest
• Personalized welcome sign + a birthday surprise for the guest of honor

Optional add-ons

• Custom themes (Barbie, American Girl, Upcycled Denim, Runway Royalty, etc.)
• Mini runway show and/or quick photo moment
• Take-home mini sewing kits
• Extra time for cupcakes/gift opening (by request)

Fashion Playdate: Friends Hangout Edition

A creative hangout that beats scrolling—every time.

This is the ultimate 2-hour drop-off experience for kids who want to design, sew, and create together. They’ll learn skills, make something real, and leave feeling proud (and very “I made this!”).

Best for: ages 5–14 (drop-off)
Perfect for: 2+ friends

Good to know

• No experience needed—just imagination
• Project timing is intentional so kids can finish strong
• For safety, we don’t pause for snacks during machine sewing

Fashion Playdate: Family Edition

Because creating together is the best kind of quality time.

This is a 2-hour, hands-on experience designed for a grown-up and child (or any beloved duo): parent/child, grandparent/grandkid, auntie/nephew—whoever makes your world feel like home.

You’ll create side-by-side at your own station, with guidance and plenty of laughter. It’s not about perfection—it’s about presence.

Best for: ages 5+ with an adult (no experience needed)

This is for older kids and teens who want to explore personal style—curate looks, build outfits, and create a mini “editorial moment” with their crew. It’s expressive, confidence-building, and very “fashion creative director energy.”

Fashion Playdate: Embroidery Edition

Slow down. Stitch up. Let every thread tell a story.

Embroidery is fashion + mindfulness in one. In this 2-hour playdate, you’ll learn hand-stitching basics and turn thread into wearable art—patches, pockets, hoops, words, symbols, whatever matters to you.

Best for: ages 8+ (adults welcome)

Includes

• All embroidery supplies (hoops, floss, needles, fabric)
• Beginner-friendly stitches + guided practice
• Option to bring your own item to embroider (shirt, denim, tote, etc.)
