🌟 Lantern-Making Workshop with Polkadot Dragon Festival Team 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Polkadot Dragon Lantern Festival to Pharatree Nelson for a special hands-on lantern-making workshop for our homeschool community!

Children will create a beautiful lantern with guidance from experienced lantern artists, in preparation for the upcoming Polkadot Dragon Lantern Festival in Nelson.

✨ Lantern Options & Ages

• Jar Lanterns – All ages welcome
• Dragonfly Lanterns – Ages 8 and up

🎨 All supplies are provided.
No prior experience needed — just come ready to create!

📌 Registration Required – Spaces Are Limited
Because space and materials are limited, advance registration is required.

When registering, please:

• Indicate the age of each participating child
• Note in the registration notes which lantern your child will be making:
  • Jar lantern (all ages)
  • Dragonfly lantern (ages 8+)

💛 Donation-Based Registration
This workshop is offered at a reduced rate thanks to grant funding. Families are invited to make a donation to help cover venue and coordination costs.

• Donations may be made online at the time of registration
• Or in person on the day of the workshop

🙏 Important Attendance Note

As spaces are limited, please only register if you are able to attend.
If your plans change, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible so the space can be offered to another family.

👩‍👧 Parent & Volunteer Information
Parents and caregivers do not need to stay for the duration of the workshop. We will have volunteers on-site to support the children.
