Nuno Felting with Jane Jacobs
Course Overview: Discover the expressive and tactile art of nuno felting in this hands-on, one-day workshop. You’ll be introduced to the basics of nuno felting, a technique that bonds wool fibres onto lightweight textiles using heat, moisture, and gentle agitation. This process allows you to combine wool and fabric to create beautifully layered, textured surfaces.
The morning session will focus on learning core nuno felting techniques. Once you have a foundational understanding, you’ll spend the afternoon applying what you’ve learned by felting hand-dyed merino wool onto a silk gauze scarf, creating a finished, wearable piece. This workshop is suitable for beginners, and no prior felting experience is required.
