Homeschool Picture Day – Slocan Valley & Nelson 

One of the sweet traditions many school families enjoy is annual school photos — a snapshot in time that marks each year of growth. For homeschooling families, that moment doesn’t always come automatically… so we’re creating it. 

This spring, Pharatree is hosting Homeschool Picture Day with our professional photographer, Andrea Cheryl Ann, offering beautiful, relaxed portraits for home learners in two locations: 

Slocan Valley – Outdoor Portrait Day 

A nature-based photo session in a beautiful outdoor setting, perfect for capturing your child in the light and landscape of our valley. 

Nelson – Two Options 

• Indoor Studio Portraits with a classic backdrop 

• Outdoor Portraits at Lakeside Park for a natural, seasonal setting

Each location and option will run on separate dates and time blocks. 

What’s Included 

• 15-minute private time slot per child 

• Professional photographer 

• 10 professionally edited, high-resolution digital images 

• Online delivery of your gallery 

These portraits are perfect for yearbooks, keepsakes, grandparents, graduation slideshows, and simply honouring your child’s learning journey this year.

Family & Sibling Add-Ons 

Sibling and family photos can be added to your session for an additional fee. 

Homeschool Groups & Co-ops 

Do you run a homeschool group or learning pod and would love to offer picture day for your community? We can come to your location and provide either: 

• Group-style photo days with rotating individual sessions 

• Individual or sibling sessions for your members

A simple, beautiful way to mark the year, celebrate your home learner, and create memories that last. Spaces are limited — booking and payment in advance is required.

My name is Andrea, and I'm a photographer in the Slocan Valley with over 10 years of experience capturing family portraits, marketing, weddings and more. I have two young boys, which has taught me to be able to work fast and capture the joy of childhood, in action. I also have in my repertoire, many lame kid jokes to get them laughing and capture the real smiles that you actually want hanging on your wall.  I look forward to working with your kids and sharing in your home learning journey this Spring.
