Camp Description & Daily Flow
Hours: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Adult-to-Child Ratio: 1:3
Camp is designed with a predictable rhythm and flexible activity options to support regulation, engagement, and social connection. Staff closely observe energy levels and interests throughout the day and adjust offerings to best support the group.

Prerequisites for Attendance
All campers must:
  • Toilet independently (staff do not provide toileting support)
  • Feed themselves independently (staff do not provide feeding support beyond check ins)
  • Communicate basic needs verbally or via AAC
    • AAC users are welcome if used proficiently
  • Walk ¾–1 mile at a steady pace without breaks
  • Demonstrate basic community safety awareness (no eloping)

Daily Schedule (Monday, Wednesday & Friday*)
9:30 – Arrival & Choice Time
Campers settle in and explore the day’s available activities. Staff observe interests and energy levels to finalize activities for the group.
10:15 – Morning Meeting & Snack
Short connection games or a shared book, followed by snack 
(provided from home).
Late Morning – Flexible Indoor/Outdoor Time
After morning meeting, campers may:
  • Go outside to the lawn across the street, or
  • Choose on-site outdoor time if needed, or
  • Select from a limited set of indoor activities based on interest and regulation needs
12:00 – Lunch
Lunch is provided from home. Staff read a book or play a podcast to support sitting and regulation while allowing campers to focus on eating.
12:45 – Post-Lunch Activities
Outdoor play or indoor activities are offered. This block often includes crafts or hands-on projects.
1:30 – Activity Transition
A change in activities to support re-engagement and regulation.
2:15 – Clean-Up & Wind-Down
Campers help clean up and choose from quieter activities, with outdoor movement options available for those who need them.

Tuesday & Thursday: Dracena Park Mornings
  • Drop-off at Dracena Park
    Campers are dropped off at Dracena Park and spend the morning engaged in outdoor play and games.
  • Walk to EACS Office (¾ mile)
    The group walks back to the office for lunch. Campers must be able to walk this distance at a steady pace without breaks.
  • Afternoon at EACS Office
    Afternoon schedule follows the same post-lunch flow as outlined above.

Friday: Pizza & Movie Afternoon
  • Morning schedule follows the standard routine
  • Pizza provided by EACS 
  • Campers watch a movie during the last half of the day
    • Regulating and alternative activities are available for campers who prefer not to watch
    • Additional calming options are offered after the movie
