Learn how to make strong choices quickly, take direction with confidence, and stay grounded, natural, and in the moment. Each week focuses on bookable skills that translate directly to real-world acting rooms.

Practice making confident, specific choices with little to no prep. Ideal for cold reads, first takes, and entering the room grounded and ready.
March 26 — Flexible Adjustments & Pivots
Learn how to take direction quickly without losing emotional truth. Focus on pivots, redirects, and offering multiple strong versions on demand.
April 2 — Listening Beyond the Lines
Develop full-body listening that lets your partner and the moment change you. Build more truthful reactions, stronger chemistry, and grounded scene work.
April 9 — Lifestyle Play & Commercial Realness
Explore script-free acting for commercials and lifestyle ads that feels natural, relaxed, and specific. Focus on behavior, presence, and being believable when there are no lines.
About Your Instructor:
Karla Dingle is an international teaching artist based in Charlotte, NC, who works with both scripted and unscripted actors, focusing on the intersection of acting and improvisation. She holds an acting degree from the University of Georgia, with advanced training from The Second City, Hoopla Impro, and The Groundlings.
Karla has taught students across five continents, including at Improv Fest Ireland, Impro Amsterdam, and the Chicago Dramatic Improv Festival. She was selected as a Theater IDA Artist-in-Residence in Zurich, Switzerland, and chosen as one of The Improv Boost’s 10 Sudden Impact Instructors.
Karla’s students have gone on to work in film, television, voiceover, and commercial projects for platforms including Apple TV, CBS, Netflix, and Amazon Prime.
