Youth Learn-to-Dive
Youth Learn-to-Dive is our most popular Learn-to-Dive program. It is often children’s first introduction to instructed diving. Youth LTD is for divers age 6 and up who are comfortable swimming in the deep end. There is a small coach to athlete ratio (1:8) to ensure each diver gets the instruction they need to be challenged in the class.
Requirement for entry: aged 6 to 12 AND ability to swim in deep water, unassisted. Pool time: 1 hour per week
Friday classes are 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, February 13 to April 17 inclusive. DRYLAND CLASS on March 20. NO CLASS March 27 (Phoenix meet) & April 3 (Good Friday)
Recreational Diver Insurance fee:
In addition, there is a recreational diver insurance fee payable directly to Diving Canada/Dive Ontario (approx. $35, but subject to change). Families MUST register their diver as a KW Diving Club "club member", and "recreational athlete/recreational diver/diver recreational", in the H2OReg system, and pay the DPC/DO insurance fee directly through the system. This must be done prior to their first class, or your diver will not be allowed to participate until this registration is complete. The link into H2OReg for the 2025-26 season will be emailed to only those families who still need to register for the 2025-26 season.
