Junior Athlete Development

At this level divers continue learning new skills and improve technique. Divers may be invited to compete at club level competitions, and perhaps to compete regionally once they have mastered the required dives. For those who are planning on staying a recreational diver, this is an ideal class.

Requirements for entry: Recommendation from coach + at least two of the following: 101C (front dive tuck), 102C (front somersault tuck), 201A (back dive straight), 401C (inward dive tuck). Pool time: 2 to 4 hours/week

Saturday classes are 8:00 am to 10:00 am, February 14 to April 18 inclusive. DRYLAND CLASS on March 21. NO CLASS March 28 (Phoenix meet) & April 4 (Easter weekend)

Recreational Diver Insurance Fee: In addition, there is a recreational diver insurance fee payable directly to Diving Canada/Dive Ontario (approx. $35, but subject to change). Families MUST register their diver as a KW Diving Club "club member", and "recreational athlete/recreational diver/diver recreational", in the H2OReg system, and pay the DPC/DO insurance fee directly through the system. This must be done prior to their first class, or your diver will not be allowed to participate until this registration is complete. The link into H2OReg for the 2025-26 season will be emailed to only those families who still need to register for the 2025-26 season.
