Junior Athlete Development DRYLAND Saturday 10:45 AM to 12:45 PM
JAD Dryland
Dryland training is very beneficial to divers, helping them improve their skill level dramatically. At dryland, divers will have the opportunity to use equipment such as our dry boards and trampolines to work on all aspects of their dives. It also gives divers an opportunity to focus on their technique with assistance as appropriate. Physical training is an important aspect of dryland training. Divers work on increasing and maintaining their flexibility as well as improving their physical fitness, focusing on the muscle groups used by divers.
Divers must be registered in a JAD pool class in order to take this dryland class.
Saturday Dryland classes from 10:45am-12:45pm, February 14 to April 18 inclusive. NO CLASS March 28 (Phoenix meet) & April 4 (Easter weekend).
In addition, there is a recreational diver insurance fee payable directly to Diving Canada/Dive Ontario (approx. $35, but subject to change). Families MUST register their diver as a KW Diving Club "club member", and "recreational athlete/recreational diver/diver recreational", in the H2OReg system, and pay the DPC/DO insurance fee directly through the system. This must be done prior to their first class, or your diver will not be allowed to participate until this registration is complete. The link into H2OReg for the 2025-26 season will be emailed to only those families whose still need to register for the 2025-26 season.
