In this high-energy STEAM workshop, students become directors of their own epic crossovers. Whether they want to animate a Pokémon battle, a Lego heist, or a Roblox "Obby," we provide the tools to turn their favourite games into cinematic masterpieces.
What You’ll Discover
- Sculpting: Create your favourite character out of clay.
- Animation: Master stop-motion fundamentals, battle scene choreography, and action sequences.
- Storytelling: Learn storyboarding, dynamic camera angles, and dramatic lighting.
- Production: Add soundtracks, SFX, and credits.
Schedule
- 09:00 am: Intro, storyboarding, and character building
- 10:00 am: Animation & software techniques
- 11:00 pm: Video editing & sound design
- 12:00 pm: Lunch break
- 1:00 pm: Watch Stop Motion, Animation, or Minecraft movie
- 03:00 pm: The Grand Premiere: Screening for parents
What to Bring
- Snacks, nut-free lunch, and water.
- Tablet: iPad (OS 14.0+) or Android tablet.
- Apps: Stop Motion Studio Pro (free version), iMovie, or Capcut.
Groups
Teams are limited to 2–3 participants to ensure everyone gets hands-on experience directing and animating.
