Spark Summer Camp: Creativity for a Cause
In this camp we will identify things in our local or global community that students feel passionate about (food scarcity, rainforest depletion, affordability of local skiing, climate change, etc). We will then take these causes and figure out how to get the message out about our cause. Perhaps students will design tshirts or buttons, create a logo, make a 3D printed token, etc. We will use makerspace low and high cost tools to design items that support our cause. Students will have the opportunity to host a booth at the Richmond Farmers Market on Friday of this camp in order to get their message out to the local community. This class is for civic minded students who are interested in making and creating for a purpose. Spark Summer Camp will be taught by STEAM educator, Darcie Rankin.
