ABOUT CAMP

LIGHT BEARERS CAMP 2026 is going to be the best kids camp ever!! We are so excited to share three days of fun, friendship, and Jesus together! This is a camp all children will love, whether they currently attend church or not - so new friends are welcome! We cannot wait for camp so please spread the word!!

LOCATION

TIME + COST

JUNIOR KIDS DAY CAMP (Foundation + Year 1 students*):

PICK UP/ DROP OFF: Tuesday April 21st 9am - 3:30pm (Not sleeping over)

COST: $55 (after April 7th: $65)

SENIOR KIDS CAMP (Year 2-5 students*):

PICK UP/ DROP OFF: Monday April 20th 12:00pm (BYO Lunch) - Wednesday April 22nd 12:00pm.

COST: $155 (after April 7th: $165)

*Both senior and junior kids will be together

PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE - we never want finances to be the reason a child can’t come to camp, so please contact us to discuss your situation and how we can help get your child there!

CAMP INFORMATION

What to bring

(Lunch for the first day)

Pillow
Sleeping bag or full bedding
PJ’s & Clothes
Extra warm clothes for night time
Clothes for active/ slightly messy games
Bible (if you have one)
Toiletries
Drink Bottle
Towel
Good shoes for active games
Small torch (optional)
Any prescription medication in a labelled bag - this will be given to the camp medical officer (see medical info field in rego form to provide specific information to camp leaders)

What NOT to bring

Electronic games of any form including mobile phones
Lollies or snacks - we have HEAPS of food and some children are unable to have lollies
Pocket knives or any sharp objects

Prescription Medication

Any prescription medication or medical requirements that your child may need for camp are required to be specifically outlined on their medical information form with clear instructions.

Dietary Requirements / Allergies

If your child has any specific dietary requirements for camp meals or has certain allergies please specify these on their medical information form.

Child Safe Environments

Our CFC Child Safe policy requires all our Camp Leaders and Team Members to do all in their power to protect & provide reasonable care for your child while at camp. There are procedures in place to ensure this is outworked, including appropriate screening and Child Safe Policy training. If you would like a copy of our CFC Child Safe policy please see Mia Kip (CFC Kids Coordinator) or email miak@familycentre.org.au . All leaders on camp have a WWC clearance.

We understand that it can be hard for children to be away from family and trusted adults and we aim to provide an environment where your child feels nurtured and cared for. To help with this we assign a camp “mum and dad” who work alongside our experienced camp leaders and are specifically available to comfort your child, listen to them and help them with anything that may worry them. These roles are filled by experienced parents, who have a deep love for children and value investing into the lives of young people. In the past, our camp “mum and dad” have played a vital role in ensuring that kids feel happy, safe and are enjoying their camp experience.

FAQs

Can my child’s friend from school come? Absolutely, please feel free to pass on this registration link

Is there an option of taking my child home at night and would this alter the cost? We understand that some kids may feel more comfortable sleeping at home for a number of reasons - please get in touch with us to discuss this further.

Can I pick my child up early? Yes, just let us know :)

Are full refunds available if my child is unable to come? Yes, of course!

What are the sleeping arrangements? Males and females will be sleeping in separate ‘dorm rooms’. Dorms will be supervised by leaders to ensure a good night sleep (same operation as a school camp)

Can my year 6 child attend? For the benefit of our younger ones present we are strict with our age limits. However, If your child has skipped a year at school or has some other extra consideration we are happy to discuss this with you personally
