Logos Scripture Summer School 2026
The Logos Scripture Summer School will again
offer two separate course options in 2026.
Course 1 - Meeting the Old Testament Heroes
Friday evening 3rd July to Tuesday evening 7th July 2026
Course Description:
This course aims to take a good look at some of the major figures of the Old Testament and how their lives and works allowed God to enter the world more and more. Adam and Eve began the story of us all, first in paradise and then in a land of their own making, but still under the loving hand of God.
Abraham was in charge, but was he really? How did God guide him to be a real rock on which to build the people of Israel? Moses built Israel's love for God upon his own friendship with God. What can we say of Jacob the trickster? Of Joseph? David? Elijah and young Elisha? Jeremiah?
And then the women too, Hanna and Ruth, Deborah and Judith, who took the history of our salvation into their hands and built it up while being tossed about on the waves of fortune.
Their biblical stories are shining examples of an artist's work under God's guiding hand, and so this course hopes to bring out the best of these works and to make them guides along our own path to appreciating the coming of Jesus into the world and how all things point to him.
