Zeroing a Rifle (Scoped) Basics
Zeroing a rifle optic can be a challenging task, especially if you are new to distant shooting. Whether you are new or an experienced hunter, or just looking for better results at distance shooting, this class is for you. You will learn the basics such as distance shooting fundamentals, bore sighting, mounting an optic properly, understanding MOA’s (minute of angle), MIL’s (milliradians), baseline zero, scope and optics adjustments among other topics to get the best performance of your distance shooting system (rifle & scope)
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of bolt action or semi-automatic rifles
Required Equipment:
Long rifle (16" Barrel or longer) rifle with properly mounted quality scope
Optic manual
Scope adjustment tool (if needed)
Eye and ear protection (electronic ear protection preferred)
Proper range attire (long pants, closed shoes, high collar shirt)
Shooting mat (optional)
Bench support (optional…sled, sandbag, or any other support equipment)
Spotting scope (optional)
Black or red sharpie
50 rounds of ammunition
Notepad & pencil/pen (optional)
