Members $36 Non-members $56

Material fee:

• $20 for fiber to be paid to the instructor on the day of the class.

Registration opens at 12:00 pm (noon): Tuesday, May 26th

Registration deadline: July 11th

Cancellation deadline: June 25th

Location: Room #3 at the Triangle Fiber Arts Center

Description

Level Up Your Spindle Skills. Spindles allow you to spin an astonishing range of fibers and yarns.

This class will help you:

• Adjust your short draw to spin yarn of various thicknesses.
• Try spinning long draw on supported and suspended spindles.
• Avoid pain by using ergonomic practices.
• Learn how to ply yarn from your spindles without major tangles.

Prerequisites for participants

• Must be able to spin a continuous thread on the spindle that the student brings.

Materials to be provided/Additional instructions for students:

• Bring your own spindle.
• Please bring a lunch or snack if you would like. Access to a refrigerator and microwave are available in the building.
