All Saratoga Joinery members are invited to come to the shop for an expert-led presentation followed by open discussion and problem solving. Members are encouraged to bring questions and/or projects that they'd like to share or get assistance on.

• Topic: Hand Plane Shooting Board – Joinery Member and seasoned woodworker Michael Gorchov will present on shooting planes and shooting boards. A shooting board is a simple yet powerful jig that greatly improves accuracy and consistency on woodworking projects. By guiding a hand plane along a fixed plane, it allows you to trim edges and end grain perfectly square straight and smooth, tasks that can be difficult to accomplish even with the best power tools. Shooting boards can elevate the overall quality and craftsmanship of your work while reducing frustration and wasted material.
