The 12 hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course is held over two days.
In a MHFA course you will learn:
- How to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems
- How to confidently approach someone who is experiencing a mental health issue and assist them to get the help they need
- Where and how to find professional help
- How to be supportive in a mental health crisis
Physical first aid helps in a physical emergency, mental health first aid helps with a mental health problem or crisis.
