Tea Cup Mosaic
No Experience Required to Learn Beautiful Glass Mosaic!
Tuition plus cost of supplies ($50 - $75)
Join our teacher Angela as she takes you on a journey of absolute fun. You bring the teacups, and we'll teach you how to cut them in half with the tile saw and make holes for drainage. You'll select a glass color for your background and then put it all together! Since there's no experience required, you can bring your friends who don't know how to cut glass. Bring an assortment of cups, saucers, sugar bowls, creamers, etc. We found our cups at a thrift store. (No delicate glass, porcelain or items over 5”, please). We’ll be building a 12”x16” panel in class. As you can see from the photo, up to four items will fit nicely. This class is fantastic for both beginners and advanced glass workers.
Even though class starts at 1:00 pm, please come to Harmony by 12:30 pm to select glass for your project. Bring Zip-Loc baggies for extra tesserae. We will be grouting; bring clothes that can get messy or an apron, and wear closed-toe shoes.
Please bring these items with you (or purchase at Harmony):
- Safety Glasses
- Old terry cloth hand towel (disposable)
- Sharpie
- A small box to carry your parts home with you (or we can supply one for $2)
- X-Acto Knife
| Please wear long cotton pants and closed toe shoes, and bring safety glasses if you own them. |
We require that you purchase any class tools and supplies here at Harmony when needed for your class. By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.
