Newborn Care Class
This 4 hour class prepares you for life at home with your baby. By using life sized weighted dolls for hands-on practice, each family acquires a true sense of what holding, swaddling, diaper changing, and baby-wearing will feel like once their baby arrives. This is a special opportunity to build confidence by practicing!
Whether this is a completely new experience, or you just need a refresher - we’ve got you covered!
Our newborn Care Specialists will present and discuss the following topics:
- Post-birth procedures and testing
- Feeding your baby
- Bathing, diapering and dressing
- Soothing and comforting
- Infant sleep
- Umbilical cord care
- Newborn health and safety
This is a great class for partners, adoptive parents, and grandparents too!
