The Bright Spot

Story Makers Studio invites young writers to explore the art of storytelling in all its forms. Campers will learn about key elements of literature—like character, plot, setting, and genre—while experimenting with fantasy, comics, non-fiction, and more. Writing is open-ended and interest-driven, allowing each child to develop a piece that reflects their unique voice and ideas. Throughout the week, campers will draft, revise, and refine their work, culminating in a story they’re excited to share. On Friday, July 31 from 3:30-4, families are invited to come hear our stories at our Story Makers Showcase. 

This is a drop off camp for Ages 5-12. Campers must be able to toilet independently and not be a safety risk to themselves or others (elopement, aggression, etc.). Camp will run from 9-4 each day, with extended day options available for AM (8-9am) and PM (4-5pm) care. Camps will be located at our new, improved, wonderful location at 2109 Cornerstone Drive, Lexington, KY 40509.

Campers will need to bring a packed lunch, water bottle, morning snack, and afternoon snack each day.

A sibling discount of $50 is provided per sibling. To access the discount, after the first registration, you will select the "Register Another Person" option. Clicking on that presents you with another pre-filled registration form that you can modify for siblings. Repeat this process as many times as needed to add additional siblings.
