Performatots Early Years Creative Learning Academy

Our Culture Week Pre-School Summer School is a joyful, gentle introduction to the wonderful diversity of the world, designed especially for early years children. Through play-based learning, movement, music, stories, and sensory experiences, children are invited to explore different cultures in a way that feels fun, safe, and age-appropriate.

Across the week, children will “travel” to different parts of the world, discovering new languages, rhythms, sounds, and traditions through songs, simple words, and interactive games. Music and movement play a big role, with children dancing to global beats, clapping rhythms, and expressing themselves through creative movement inspired by cultures from around the world.

Little learners will also explore taste, texture, colour, and creativity with hands-on activities such as arts and crafts, sensory play, cooking-style experiences, and food exploration (age-appropriate and allergy-aware). These experiences help spark curiosity, encourage open-mindedness, and build early cultural awareness in a natural and playful way.

Culture Week supports key early years development, including communication and language skills, social confidence, fine and gross motor development, and emotional awareness. Children learn to share, listen, and celebrate differences while building confidence and independence in a warm, nurturing environment led by experienced early years educators.
