Custodian Training Day

This training day is designed for all the workers who are required to attend the annual training sessions for Pesticide Applicator Safety, IPM, Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control, Heat Illness Prevention, Hazardous Materials Business Plan and Asbestos Awareness.

All employees performing maintenance, custodial, and grounds/gardener duties are encouraged to attend this important required training.

Here are the topics to be covered

3:00-3:45 p.m.           

• Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control  

Annual training is required for employees who may come into contact with blood or blood-borne pathogens.

4:00-4:30 p.m.

• Hazardous Materials Business Plan

Emergency response procedures, handling Hazardous Waste and Universal Waste.

4:45-5:15 p.m.

• Asbestos Awareness

Annual Training is required

5:30-6:00 p.m.

• Hazardous Substance Communication Program (HazComm/GHS)

Labeling and use of chemicals will be covered.

•  Pesticide Applicator Safety and DPR 102 (Practical Pest Management for Maintenance/Grounds/Custodial)
• Heat Illness Prevention - Annual Training is required 

6:00-6:30 p.m. Lunch Break

6:30-7:30 p.m

• Safe Work Practices

This training will include safe work practices for Custodial staff.
