World Building for Improvisers
Exploring world building for improv and role playing games with Fiona Howat!
The imagined worlds we set our improv scenes in should still feel like a real-world (or at least a world we could relate to!). Figuring out the rules which govern the base reality of a scene on the fly is a hard skill to master but with practice (and a little experimentation!),world building can make our stories come alive and stand out!
Inspired by roleplaying game mechanics and narrative writing prompts, this class will explore some of the main tenets of world-building and how we can incorporate these simple techniques into our improv scenes!
Class is open to every experience level of improviser and for those role players who want to try something new!
