Class Description:

This mixed-media camp invites students to experiment with collage, sculpture, and watercolor while building confidence as visual artists. Students will explore layering, texture, and form using a wide range of materials and techniques. Mary Grace will start the day with various media to build sculptures and creative collage projects. Rhea will take over in the afternoon with a watercolor skills focused class. Throughout the day, students will break for outdoor and social time. This camp offers endless opportunities for students to find an art style and form they love! 

All projects are specifically designed to accommodate students of all skill levels and can be adjusted accordingly to meet each student's specific needs. No prior art experience is needed.

Teacher Bios: 

Mary Grace is a certified teacher with a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Texas A&M University. She has many years of teaching experience in the regular classroom as well as the art classroom and also enjoys painting professionally. 

Rhea Fitzgerald, a current Upper Elementary Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Art teacher at Blanco River Academy (BRAc) in Wimberley, has taught and exhibited her own work throughout the Midwest, the South, and Texas.
