This is a New Mexico class for a Concealed Handgun License, hosted at and sponsored by the Los Alamos Sportsmans Club in Rendija Canyon.

All net proceeds benefit the Club.

Class dates and time for renewal class only is April 12, 2026:

• Sunday, April 12: 1:00 PM-7:00 PM @ the Indoor Range

Requirements:

• A major caliber handgun (380 acp and up) that you already know how to shoot;
• A strong side Outside the Waistband Holster NOT woven nylon!!!
• 250 rounds of practice ammo (buy on ammoseek.com for the best price)
• At LEAST 2 magazines or speedloaders for revolvers.
• Eye and Ear protection, ELECTRONIC EAR MUFFS PREFERRED
• $10 for range supplies, in CASH. (targets, etc).

You do not need to shoot the course with the same guns you intend to qualify with (i.e. shoot the class with a 9mm, qualify with a 45 auto and a 44 magnum revolver). You will need 25 rounds for each of 2 possible qualifying handguns (The largest caliber in each of the "semi-auto" and "other" categories).

Cost (not including supplies fee above) is $175 for the Full CHL class; $60 for the Renewal CHL class; and $30 for a refresher class (registration link).
