CFDA Faculty Fellow, Soumia Bardhan, is launching Belonging, Becoming, and Beyond (BBB), a mentoring initiative designed to strengthen belonging, visibility, and professional growth for early career and international faculty at CU Denver.
This spring, BBB kicks off with a campuswide Speed Mentoring Exchange, where participants will engage in brief, meaningful conversations with multiple mentors and leave with a personalized “mentor map” filled with connections, insights, and resources to support their journey. This 90-minute event will be held in early March 2026 and will include light refreshments.
During the exchange, faculty members will rotate through a series of short, structured conversations, which will address a wide range of mentoring needs—from navigating academic expectations (research, teaching, service) to understanding institutional culture, policies, and promotion pathways; learning about resources and support units; and connecting with campus networks that foster belonging and community.
Following the event, faculty members may opt into the Bridge Mentorship Program, which offers deeper, individualized support through thoughtfully paired colleagues and flexible, in the moment growth planning.
Together, these efforts aim to expand networks, build confidence, and cultivate a sustainable mentoring culture rooted in community and care. Lunch will be provided.
