Women are often asked to juggle multiple titles, hats, people, and personalities. This workshop will explore one college executives’ lessons learned while navigating a career in higher education. This workshop is ideal for professionals at varying stages of their career and all gender identities.

Dr. Teara Flagg Lander currently serves as the Founding Executive Director of The Collaborative at CU Denver and Assistant Teaching Professor for the Ed.D. in Leadership for Educational Equity in Higher Education in the CU Denver School of Education and Human Development.

She received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in political science from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master of education with a focus on higher education administration from the University of Oklahoma. She earned a doctoral degree in educational leadership with an emphasis in higher education from Kansas State University. Additionally, she holds two graduate certificates in qualitative research methods and social justice education also from Kansas State University. 

She has over seventeen years of experience as a higher education practitioner and scholar. Dr. Lander’s scholarship interests include: culturally responsive leadership, women in leadership, intersectional feminism and motherscholaring. As a scholar, Dr. Lander seeks to understand and support pathways to higher education for underrepresented communities. In her leisure time, she enjoys being with her family, traveling, and reading.
