This trip demands a high level of physical fitness in order to complete it within the available daylight hours. ADK reserves the right to deny participation if group safety will be compromised through an individual's participation.
This program is a guided day hike to Mount Marcy (elevation 5,344’, 15 miles round-trip with approximately 3,500’ of elevation gain). After introductions and a trip overview, we’ll embark on our journey to this summit. The trip will be led by ADK’s Education Department staff.
Prior High Peaks region hiking experience is highly suggested. Be ready for an authentic Adirondack hiking experience along steep, rocky, and muddy trails. Good physical condition, proper clothing, and proper equipment are a must.
