Hand Embroidery with Saskia Wassing

Course Overview: Join us for two days of colourful stitching fun as you discover the endless possibilities of hand embroidery. Participants will be guided through a playful process of stitch exploration to create practical, delightful, bespoke accessories such as a scissor case, needle case, brooch, pin cushion, or a project of your choosing. A variety of techniques and approaches will be shared to ignite imagination and strengthen stitching skills. Students will learn to experiment and develop individual designs using new and/or repurposed felted wools and threads. Guidance, support and encouragement are provided throughout the workshop in a welcoming and positive learning environment. With the techniques and inspiration gained from the class, participants will be ready to embark on their own hand-stitched textile projects with joy and confidence.
