Arts Experience at Loyalist

Course Overview: Join us for a week of exploring the landscapes of Prince Edward County through photography. From the sparkling waters of Lake Ontario to rugged shorelines, sand dunes and rolling hills, the region offers endless inspiration and the perfect setting for a creative photographic experience. Throughout the week, participants will develop a stronger understanding of how to see and compose compelling images in natural environments. Guided field sessions are supported by discussion, demonstrations and individual feedback, helping participants refine both technical and creative skills at their own pace. Whether using a digital camera or exploring personal photographic approaches, students will gain tools and confidence to move beyond simply documenting a scene and begin creating images with meaning and visual impact.

Skill Level:  All levels welcome, but some basic photography and camera understanding is preferred.

• Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 10
• 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Important Notes:

• Course fee: $400.00 (General) or $365.00 (Senior 55+). HST is not included in the price.
• This course is based at the Belleville Campus at 376 Wallbridge Loyalist Rd, Belleville, ON K8N 5B9.
• Participants will travel by car to a variety of nearby locations, with travel times of 30 to 40 minutes. Please ensure you can drive to and from these locations.
• Campus information, including room number, parking, directions, etc., will be provided closer to the start date.
• A refund (less $20.00 administrative fee) will be issued if you withdraw from a class at least 14 days before the start date of the class. After this deadline, no refunds will be issued.
• If a course is cancelled by Loyalist College, registered students will be provided with a full refund. College decisions to cancel a course will be made 14 days before the course start date.

• Lenses you use
• Tripod
• Laptop for processing images with power cord
• Sturdy footwear – hiking shoes/boots
• Rain jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen for outdoor excursions
