Key topics

• An introduction to UK medicines regulation - Covering the regulations relating to the manufacturing/ importation of medicinal products.
• Introduction to GMP – what does it mean? Covering the background and foundations of GMP, including the role and importance of the Licence Holder and Qualified Person, where they lie within the organisational structure and the reporting requirements that come with it.
• Application of the GMP guidelines – How does it apply to your role? A focus on putting GMP into the context of the positions held within the organisation, including the importance of potential recall situations.
• Interactive exercises - Working with others to embed the learning.

Course Objectives

An entry level course designed to go above and beyond just repeating GMP awareness and your company SOPs. The focus is on engaging and educating the learner on the real reasons for having GMP in the first place.

Expected Course Outcome

The course is led by Qualified Person / MHRA Compliance Monitor who will be looking to share their knowledge and experiences to ensure the learner goes away with a solid understanding of the importance of key concepts and why their role matters to the integrity of the pharmaceutical supply chain. There will be an increased confidence in their role and the contribution they can make in the workplace.

Training audience

The Training Course is designed for those who are new to the pharmaceutical industry or have changed roles. It is suitable for all levels within the organisation as the key concepts are applicable to all. The course would also make an ideal annual GDP update of knowledge.

The course can also be delivered as an in-house course, either on site or remote, permitting a focus on specific topics appropriate to the company.
