Northumberland Bees Tour and Candle Workshop with Alexandra Hutan

Course Overview: Join Northumberland Bees and their lead apiarist for a beautiful day spent slowing down and stepping into the living world of the hive. The experience begins with a hands-on workshop crafting your own 100% pure beeswax candle to take home, a small keepsake of the day. While your hand-poured candle sets, you’ll move into the bee yard for a guided hive inspection, exploring the intimate relationship between bees and their keepers and learning the essentials of colony health and sustainable hive care. No prior experience is required, just curiosity and a love of nature and the extraordinary ecosystem of our friends, the bees. You will receive a safety briefing, and all protective veils and suits will be provided before entering the bee yard.

Please review the safety information and procedures outlined below to determine whether this workshop is suitable for you.
