Electrical Safety and Your House Wiring System (Lecture)
Maximum Students: 25
Duration: 2 hrs
Prerequisites: None
Join us Wednesday evening, February 25, 2026 at 7:00pm for a presentation on electrical safety in your home. Designed for beginners, we will review your household electrical system and teach you safety considerations you need to keep in mind before making simple electrical repairs. We will cover how electrical systems are designed, and throw in a little physics to give you the basics of how things work. We will then teach you how to identify different types of wiring, and the difference between standard circuits, doorbell circuits and thermostat wiring. And last we will give an overview of what repairs the average homeowner can do, and when to call a professional.
This is the first of a series of lecture-style classes on various topics we plan to hold at Rochester Makerspace.
