Speaker: Thea Clark, Instructional Technology Coach, Frederick County Public Schools

Title: Teaching with AI and About AI

In this session we will learn how AI can augment teaching with tips for using AI to create learning experiences. We will also explore connecting the 2024 VA science standards of learning for K-5 into teaching about AI.


More about Thea Clark:

Thea has been an elementary educator since 2004 and is currently an Instructional Technology Coach. She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from James Madison University. She is passionate about computer science integration and creating STEM opportunities for all students. Her dedication and expertise have earned her the prestigious title of Virginia Computer Science Champion for Pre-K-2 for the 2023-2024 school year. She is currently leading an initiative to introduce and scale interest in artificial intelligence and technology integration among elementary teachers, significantly impacting district-level engagement.
