Ages 12 - 17
Meets on campus from 1 PM to 4 PM, June 29th - July 2nd
Led by Ashley O'Neil, a team member at the Center for Excellence in STEM Education
In this camp, we will be splitting our time between game play, character creating, and story development. Campers will have the opportunity to create their own D&D elements of play and test them with their peers. Additionally, campers will spend time learning collaboration, storytelling, and game play through our Feast of the Fables Campaign.
Feast of the Fables:
Each year, fey and folk from around the countryside gather for the Feast of the Fables. Local merchants sell their wares and folks trade their best produce and meals as bards and entertainers bring stories and music to life. The Feast of The Fables is a time when those spread far and wide gather to hear news from other regions, connect with the stories that make their community, and eat rare delicacies. The entire valley of Ironhaven is filled with caravans and tents. As the sun sets, everyone gathered heads towards the fire for the Great Telling- when bards from every county try to earn Best of the Year with their tales and singing. With a gathering this large, there is no end to the mischief and revelry. As the moon rises over the valley and the woods grows still, one must wonder… what else has come to play?
Please keep in mind that student interest in the topic enhances not only their experience, but also that of their fellow campers.
