Led by Sarah Sly, a team member at the Center for Excellence in STEM Education
Have you ever created an embroidery project that lights up? Used crochet to recycle and make our environment a healthier place? Turned what you thought was broken trash into something new and useful? In this camp, we are taking the skills of our elders and bringing them into 2026. Learn how traditional crafts and skills can make everything a little more fun, useful, and exciting.
Please keep in mind that student interest in the topic enhances not only their experience, but also that of their fellow campers.
If financial barriers would limit your participation, please email us at cese@cmich.edu to talk about how we can make our programs accessible for you.
