Astronomy
NOTE: This is a second semester class, starting in January!
In this semester-long course students will learn study God's awe-inspiring creation on the grandest of scales. Topics covered in this class include the sun, moon, stars, planets, black holes, and telescopes. Students will be expected to read the text, answer comprehension and simple calculation questions, write weekly reflections, attend a mandatory field trip, and participate in hands on experiences in class. While there will be hands on activities, this is NOT a lab class Most students should expect to spend 45-60 minutes per day on this class.
The course is recommended for students in 9th-12h grades.
The course fee is $200. There is also a $15 printing fee, for a total price of $215. A non-refundable $100 deposit is required in order to complete your registration. An early bird discount of $25 will be applied if registration is completed by May 31. Instructions for submitting that payment will be emailed to you after you submit your registration. The balance of the course fee is due by Dec 17, unless a payment plan has been arranged with the teacher by that date.
