Watercolour Basics: Landscapes with Tanya Fenkell

Course Overview: Explore the unique possibilities of watercolour painting through the lens of landscape. This course introduces foundational skills and essential techniques to demystify a medium that can feel intimidating yet is deeply expressive and rewarding. Through relaxed demonstrations and supported, hands-on exercises, participants will build a personal library of techniques to draw on in future creative work. Topics include wet-on-dry and wet-on-wet painting, blending, composition, layering and notan, with an emphasis on understanding how and when to use each approach. The skills developed will support confident, personal interpretations of favourite landscapes.
