Course will be Held at the Hinton Fire Department on March 28-29th
Course Purpose and Learning Objective.
The WUI-B (Wildland Urban Interface - Boss) course is designed to develop the knowledge, skill, and decision-making ability required to function as a supervisory leader on a WUI incident. The primary focus of this course is the crew boss role. with an emphasis on:
- Planning and coordination
- Leadership in dynamic environments
- Documentation and accountability
- Tactical supervision during WUI operations
Prerequisite:
- WUI-Member
- ICS 200
- 1001 L2
- Previous experience in disaster deployments around the province
- A Letter from PCFS Deputy Chief of Training.
