At Spitfire, we love getting on stage for a live audience - but there’s a whole other world of performance that happens when the camera turns on. Acting on camera requires a different skillset: smaller choices, sharper listening, emotional nuance, and an understanding of how the lens changes everything.

In this six-week class, you’ll learn how to feel confident and natural in front of the camera. We’ll explore commercial acting, comedic scenes, and even dramatic work while introducing you to the terminology and on-set expectations that working actors need to know. From hitting your mark to adjusting performance for close-ups, you’ll build the tools to take direction and deliver with clarity.

The semester culminates in a filmed showcase where you’ll perform a fully produced scene in front of a live audience. Your friends and family won’t just watch you act - they’ll watch the filmmaking process unfold in real time and see just how far you’ve come.
