Lost Wax Casting: Learn how to cast a pre-made wax or 3D printed object using the Lost Wax method in a two day class. Feel free to bring your own castable object or use one provided.

Day 1:

Discuss the burnout cycle

Discuss centrifuge casting verses vacuum assisted casting. 

Sprue a model.

Mix and pour investment.

Day 2: The 13 hour wax burnout will be completed between class 1 & 2:

Pour metal into the mold

Cleanup the finished piece.    

The size of the castable object is must be less than 2 x 2 x 2.5 you have previously cleared the model with the instructor. The material cost will depend on the size of the object cast and the material used.
