This month we welcome Guest instructor:
Tensegrity (he/they)

Ten will be leading us through Bottom Led Tying, a class where bottoms take the lead and we challenge rope stereotypes. This is a class you won’t want to miss.

In this class we move away from viewing bottoms as passive objects and flip the script. Tensegrity will make us ask the question: what happens when we flip this dynamic and center the experience around the person being tied? What unique and irreplaceable knowledge and skills can bottoms bring to the rope experience?

We'll explore these questions through three hands-on tying exercises where tops will be expected to listen while bottoms are expected to lead.

Items to bring:

• Rope: 2-3 bundles (loaner rope provided upon request)
• Safety cutting tool
• Additional items that will make you feel comfortable in the space (i.e. sweaters, blankets, aftercare)

About the Instructor: Tensegrity(he/they) is an international genderqueer and neurodivergent educator and performer who has been obsessing over rope since 2018 and teaching since 2020. Their commitment to rope, community and education gives them a special edge to bringing together topics on rope, dynamics and body work into one.

All attendees are vetted; if you have not attended an AS event before, we will reach out before the event. We also ask that first-time attendees arrive at 6:30pm for a rope safety overview. Opening circle begins promptly at 7:00pm.

Please note:

• This event is for ages 18+, you may be asked to show ID upon entry, please have a valid form of ID
• The venue is up a set of stairs; please reach out if accessibility is a concern.
• Wear clothing you are comfortable tying in and be advised this is not a sexual space.

Refunds and transfers are available with at least 24 hours' notice.

You may transfer your ticket to another event (one transfer per event) or to another vetted attendee. If the person is not yet vetted, they must complete vetting before the event.

We understand emergencies happen—please reach out, and we’ll consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

In the event we cannot reach you for vetting, your reservation may be cancelled.
