NON-CLINICAL TRAINING WITH DR. JERNIGAN (GROUP A)
You are often the first person a client sees, the first voice they hear, and the first impression they have of CHL. Whether you work at the front desk, in scheduling, in administrative support, or in another patient-facing role, the way you show up matters deeply to clients, to families, and to the success of the clinical work that happens here every day.
Over the past few years, CHL’s clinical staff have been participating in evidence-based practice training to strengthen their care delivery. As part of that ongoing effort, we’re launching a six-part Supplemental Training Series that will involve staff across the organization, including you. This series is designed to help everyone at CHL understand how our work connects, why your role is central to the client experience, and how we can all contribute to better outcomes for the communities we serve.
The series will focus on three areas that are relevant to every member of this team:
- Understanding the care CHL provides and how to communicate about it with clients, families, and community members in ways that are welcoming and clear
- Seeing how your specific role supports CHL’s broader mission of improving mental health at the community and population level
- Building shared language and practices across the organization so that every interaction a client has at CHL, from intake to checkout, reflects our values
This series isn’t about adding clinical responsibilities to your plate. It’s about recognizing the expertise you already bring, deepening your understanding of the work happening around you, and giving you tools to make every client interaction as supportive as possible. You play a critical role in setting the tone for care, and we want to invest in you accordingly.
The series will be facilitated by Dr. Maryam Jernigan-Noesi and will begin in March 2026. Your participation will help strengthen CHL as a whole and ensure that the experience we provide to clients is consistent, compassionate, and connected at every point of contact.
We value your contributions, your perspective, and the relationships you build with the people who walk through our doors. Let’s continue learning together.
