Pen & Ink and Watercolor
This is a year-long studio course in drawing and painting with an emphasis on representation from direct observation. We will develop our observation skills and transfer what we see onto paper. We will start by drawing with pen and ink, then explore watercolor, and finally, combine the two mediums. Homework will be assigned and it is highly encouraged that students complete it, but it is optional.
This course is open to students in 6th-12th grades.
The course fee is $325. Students will also be required to purchase some of their own supplies. A supply list will be made available before class begins. A non-refundable $100 deposit is required in order to complete your registration. An early bird discount of $25 will be applied if registration is completed by May 31. Instructions for submitting that payment will be emailed to you after you submit your registration. The balance of the course fee is due by August 13, unless a payment plan has been arranged with the teacher by that date.
