Next Level Pistol is a marksmanship-focused course designed for shooters who want to move beyond basic fundamentals and refine the core skills that truly drive performance.

Most classes teach techniques. We teach why they work.

Instead of just teaching techniques, we break down the principles behind modern shooting performance — the concepts that make techniques actually work. These principles come from years of law enforcement experience and training with over 100 instructors across multiple disciplines.

If you want to shoot faster, cleaner, and with more control — this class is built for you.

You should already be safe, competent, and comfortable handling a pistol.

If you are brand new — no problem. We’ll help get you ready through Pistol 101 or Pistol Essentials so you can step into this class confident and prepared.

About Make Ready Training Company

I’m a retired law enforcement officer trained by top firearms instructors — from Tactical Hyve to nationally recognized performance schools — and I help everyday shooters build real, repeatable skill with proven, stress-tested training

Training is led by Chris Schaefer, a retired law-enforcement officer and certified firearms instructor with extensive experience teaching new shooters. Chris holds certifications from the NRA, USCCA, Tactical Hyve, and has completed advanced programs with Tactical Performance Center (TPC).

His teaching style is calm, supportive, and easy to follow — perfect for anyone nervous, unsure, or brand new to firearms. Every Make Ready class keeps safety first while building real confidence step by step.

Do I need any prior experience? You should already be safe and competent handling a handgun. If you’re brand new, start with Pistol 101 or Pistol Essentials first

Will there be live fire? Yes. There will also be dry-fire and lecture, all outside.

What type of gun can I bring. Any modern day firearm.

Because class sizes are limited, the following cancellation policy applies:

• • Full refunds are available for cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the class start date.
  • Cancellations made between 14 days and 5 days prior to the class start date are eligible for a credit toward a future Make Ready course (no refunds).
  • No refunds or credits are issued for cancellations made within 5 days of the class start date or for no-shows.
