On behalf of the Angelina County Citizens Chamber of Commerce, we are pleased to invite you

to attend our 86th Annual Gala, Awards Ceremony, and Annual Meeting; an evening dedicated

to community, civic awareness, and recognizing those who help move Lufkin forward.

This year’s program will feature Dr. Hockenberry, Superintendent of Lufkin Independent

School District, who will provide an informational overview of the upcoming LISD bond election

scheduled for May 2, 2026. The purpose of this presentation is public education and

transparency, offering the community clear, factual information in an informational setting.

In addition to the program, the evening will include the recognition of individuals, organizations,

and community leaders whose service, leadership, and commitment have made a meaningful

and lasting impact in the Lufkin community. The Chamber is proud to honor those whose

contributions strengthen our schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and overall quality of life.

The Annual Meeting portion of the evening will reflect on the Chamber’s mission,

accomplishments, and continued role in promoting civic engagement and community

collaboration throughout Angelina County.

The Gala will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lufkin Pitser Garrison Civic
