This class will go over basic technique, warmups, and foundational music knowledge required to begin playing the drums. Starting with a practice pad, we will go over beginner rudiments and the role of drums and percussion in popular music genres.
This class will be held on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm-7:15pm. There is a capacity of 12 students per class, and these classes will be held as a 8-week-long program! We ask that you please reach out if your student is unable to attend class at any point during the 8 weeks (alyssa@lucslight.org). Doors will open 15 minutes before classes start. Pickup will be at the end of each class.
This 8-week program will start on March 3rd and end April 21st. Students ages 12-20 may join at any time!
