Glass Flameworking - Seasonal Series - Eggs and Flowers
Join us for a fun, hands-on glassblowing class and create your own personalized glass eggs and flowers. These classes will run through June to allow students the flexibility of progressing through each type of piece based on their own schedule and skill level. Students will have to option of making other simple shapes if desired.
Working side-by-side with an experienced glassblower, you'll get an up-close introduction to the mesmerizing art of hot glass. The class begins with a live demonstration showing the full process, followed by your turn to craft your pieces step by step.
You'll learn how to:
- Apply vibrant colors to molten glass
- Shape the semi-molten form using traditional tools and techniques
- Sculpt the glass into the final shape design
Each student creates their own unique pieces. Finished pieces will be placed in a controlled cooling (annealing) process for safety and durability. Completed pieces will be boxed and available for pickup starting the following Monday after 6:00 PM (or via mail within one week upon request).
