Whether you are working on your Winter 46, uncomfortable approaching the high peaks on your own, or just looking for a great winter hike in the mountains, these one-day guided trips are for you. All hikes are strenuous and will require a full day of snowshoeing.
This program is a guided day hike to Street & Nye Mountains (elevation 4,166’ & 3,895’, 9 miles round-trip with approximately 2,400' of elevation gain). After introductions and a trip overview, we’ll embark on our journey to these “trail-less” summits. The trip will be led by ADK’s Education Department staff.
Prior snowshoeing experience is highly recommended. Good physical condition, proper winter clothing, and proper equipment are a must.
